A classic cheese quiche is not only a brunch favorite, but an easy at home dish for which every fridge has the ingredients! Eat Local Cheese Quiche uses the savory, slightly nutty flavor of Medium Cheddar to compliment the flaky pastry crust for a crowd-pleaser.
Ingredients
1 refrigerated 9-inch pie crust
3 cups shredded Eat Local Medium Cheddar
4 large eggs
1 cup milk
1/2 cup heavy cream
3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon dried chives
1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
Preparation
Step 1
Preheat over to 375 F.
Step 2
Sprinkle cheese into the bottom of the pie crust, set aside.
Step 3
In a medium-sized bowl, combine the eggs, milk, cream, flour, chives, salt, and pepper, and beat with a wire whisk until the mixture is smooth and incorporated.
Step 4
Pour the custard mixture carefully over the cheeses in the crust.
Step 5
Bake the quiche for 40 to 50 minutes until the quiche is puffed, golden brown, and set. Let stand for 5 minutes before cutting into wedges. Serve and enjoy.
